I’ve always been a big fan of vintage furniture which is almost everywhere at home : great design, quality, durable and much less polluting materials than new furniture … and the price is often quite affordable. Perfect when you have three children!
While I was seeking nice furniture for my daughter, I met Coralie, one year ago. I was immediately charmed by Chahut Bahut, the brand that this mother of three created in 2013.
Coralie, who’s been bargaing-hunting since childhood, selects iconic or rare pieces : desks, nightstands, dressers, but also school posters, doll prams, Baumann rocking horse or pretty old quilt … Most of the items come from the 50s to 70s, but not only. Coralie primarily takes into account the design and the history of the furniture.
Chahut Bahut carefully selects pieces that have a story, renovates them if necessary, or paints them to give a more modern touch. Each piece is unique, designed for children … or grown-ups.
The selection of furniture, toys and accessories is frequently renewed according to Coralie’s new finds. She should receive some lovely desks very very soon... Perfect for September’s new school year!
Coralie works in as studio in Clichy (near Paris), from where she delivers in France and abroad. She takes good care of her customers : the packaging is meticulous the delivery time is fast. I plebiscite!
In these photos, the desk, the lamp, the toys’ basket and the cushions all come from Chahut Bahut.
You can find the entire selection, and more, on the site (English version available).
Well, see you on Tuesday to share my favourite summer fashion and acessories! Maybe this will help to bring back the sun … Fingers crossed !!
