Healthy food for a radiant complexion.

To have a healthy and glowy skin this summer, it’s important not only to protect yourself from sun but also to eat well. Some food is particularly well for a radiant complexion :

Sea food is perfect : it’s full of omega 3 and selenium that are very good for heart and skin.  It’s also full of zinc that fights against skin damage and acne and helps hair and nails to grow.

kiwis and citrus are full of vitamin C that helps to retain skin collagen (which is responsible for skin firmness).

Olive oil, almonds, nuts and hazelnuts contain linoleic acid, responsible or a great skin hydratation ans suppleness .

Red fruits like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries  have got a high concentration of antioxydants that helps preventing cellular destruction and stimulantes cells’ regeneration.

Carrot is indispensable for a glowy skin because it’s full of beta-caroten. You can find it also in apricots, mango, melon, peach, fennel, tomato...

Here you can find some good recipes for a radiant skin :

Apricot and Almond smoothie

  • 25 cl almond milk
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 200 g fresh apricots

Wash the apricots and mix all the ingredients together still it’s smooth. Drink right after.

Salad for a radiant complexion :

  • A bunch of rocket leaves
  • 1 carrot
  • ¼ fresh mango
  • Half a lemon juice
  • 200 g frozen cooked broad beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 mint leaves

Pour the the broad beans for 3 minutes in boiling water then rinse them under cold water. Rinse the rocket, peel the carrot and make sorts of tagliatelles thanks to a peeler. Make the sauce : mix  the mango with lemon and olive oil. Then add the chiseled mint leaves. Serve the sauce apart.
