easy meal #8 : flat olive bread
This a scrumptious recipe for long summer pre-dinner evenings! We love eating that bread with olive oil and tomatoes!
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Resting time : 1h30
Baking time : 20-25 minutes
- 200 g plain flour
- 10 cl warm water
- 1 teaspoon of yeast
- 2-3 pinches of salt
- Around 20 black olives
- 1 red onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 branch of fresh rosemary
Pour the flour, salt and sugar in a big bowl. Stir well. Make a hole and pour in the yeast and the warm water. Mix the yeast and the water, then add one tablespoon of olive oil. Mix with the flour. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Flour it and make a big ball. Flatten it in order to make a 25 cm disc. Let it rest at room temperature for 1 hour and a half.
Then dig slightly in the dough the olives, the sliced onion and the rosemary sprigs. Spray on it a tablespoon of olive oil.
Bake it in the oven for 20 – 25 minutes at 180 °C.
Enjoy! See you soon for new holiday posts!!!
