Friday cake #13 : matcha tea tiramisu
Today, we make a new version of the Italian Tiramisu inspired by summer … and Japan! This is a very easy recipe, not too fat ! At home, we love this recipe with lots of fruits…
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Refrigeration time : 3 hours at least
Ingredients ( 6-8 servings)
- 400 g fresh strawberries
- 15-20 finger biscuits
- 250 g Mascarpone cheese
- 120 g caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon of matcha tea powder (max)
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Wash, hull and cut the strawberries into two parts. Dry them out meanwhile you make the Mascarpone cream.
For the cream : pull apart the yolks from the whites. Whipp the egg-whites with a pinch of salt to a light mousse. Beat the yolks with sugar, vanilla and Mascarpone cheese till the preparation is light and fluffly. Then add carefully the whites and stir in till it’s smooth and consistent.
Then take a rectangular plate (or small individual glasses) . First, put in the finger biscuits, sticked one to the other. Add several layers of strawberries, then the Mascarpone cream. Store the tiramisu into the fridge for at least three hours.
Just before serving, you can add some matcha tea powder. Delicious for a sunny lunch (hope the weather will be better than now 😉 !)
