Friday cake #23 : late summer crumble

This new recipe is full of seasonal fruits : pears, blueberries, apples and hazelnuts… a way to go sweetly to September…

Preparation time : 10 minutes
Baking time : 45 minutes

Ingredients (serving 5-6) :

  • 220 g plain flour
  • 100 g butter at room temperature
  • 100 g hazelnut powder
  • 110 g caster sugar
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 apples
  • 4 pears
  • 200 g blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon

Preheat the oven at 180°C. Cut the fruits into dices and add some brown sugar and cinnamon. Put the fruits in a baking tin (I love individual wood baking tins like the ones I’ve found at the Tresorerie, Paris 11 : http://sweetcabane.com/la-tresorerie-bazar-beau-et-tendance/) .

In a big bowl, stir together the flour, the hazelnutpowder and the sugar. Add the butter cut into dices. Knead the dough, then make some crumbs that you sprinkle onto the fruits.

Bake the crumble  in the oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes.

Delicious to eat with some frozen yogurt!

Have a lovely weekend,

Emilie.
