Friday cake # 27 : Brownie intense.
For this Autumn Friday Cake, no more good resolutions : today we make a scrumptious brownie recipe !! It’s so easy and fast to make that you can cook even with a young child! I’ve found this recipe in one of my favourite cookbooks : The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook! Very easy and the result is perfect… just like a brownie coming directly from an American bakery : smooth and thick, flaky on the top, but still soft in the centre!
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Baking time : 30 minutes
- 200 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 175 g unsalted butter
- 325 g caster sugar
- 130 g plain flour
- 3 eggs
- Squarred baking tray
Preheat the oven at 170 °C (325°F)
Melt the chocolate and the butter in the micro-waves (one minute at 900 W approx.) Then pour them in a big bowl and stir well until the preparation is smooth. Add the sugar and stir until well incorporated. Add the flour and stir until well incorporated. Finally, stir in the eggs and mix until thick and smooth.
Spoon the mixture into the baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Be careful not to overcook : the top has to be flaky and the centre still soft!
Leave to cool completely before dusting with icing sugar to decorate and cutting into squares.
