Italian-inspired Night In.
This Friday, I’d like to share a spécial moment, we really enjoy at home : Friday Night. It’s a moment when my darling and I love to relax and talk about the past week… It’s a kind of ‘Night In’ date!
Here you can find some ideas to create a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. I’ve chosen the Italian theme, because I’m really fond of Italian culture : a book, a picture, some popular Italian songs… to feel as if we were in Italy, a candle and a fragrance to completely relax, and of course, some delicious food and drinks.
Some Italian ham and cheese such as burrata, prosciutto and bresaola (with some fresh squeezed lemon juice and olive oil)
One Spritz …such as the one made by Aperol (not too sugared)
Reeading, watching, listening
Scent of a woman by Dino Risi, 1974 : My favourite picture for many many years! It’s just a perfect picture, maybe the best one among Dino Risi’s filmography. It tells us the trip of a war mutilated blind man, who plans to go to Napoli, where the drama will take place. Everything is beautiful : story, music, actors (Vittorio Gassman at the peak of his fame)
Erri de Luca’s books : Montedidio and Three horses,… A rough and earthling way of writing which transcribes very well Italian everyday life and culture, and makes think about what humanity is. Overwhelming!
And, of course, Italian songs such as La bambola by Patty Pravo (1967) … L’appuntamento by Ornella Vanoni (1970) and… Sparring Partner by Paolo Conte
Big admirer of Officina Santa Maria Novella for many years, how to resist this amazing pomegranate-scented candle ?
Adn for those wo love neroli, let’s discover the new Bottega Veneta’s fragrance : Knot. Mandarin, clementine, sweet lime and neroli …
A good way to relax, isn’t it?
On Sunday, I will tell you all about December’s program on Sweet Cabane : many ideas for Christmas… and many new tous on the shop!!
Have a lovely Friday and a good weekend!!
