Flower Shortbreads

Here is a recipe I’ve just shared on Instagram. I’d like to share it with you here as it appears to be very successful… I hop you’ll like it too! It’s very easy and the result is scrumptious and aesthetical !

Preparation time : 10 minutes

Baking time : 15 minutes at 160°C

Ingredients

For biscuits :

  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 120 g of butter at room temperature
  • 180 g flour

For glaze :

  • 5 cl of water
  • 50 g caster sugar
  • twenty edible wild pansies

Make the biscuits : Preheat your oven to 160 ° C. Mix the butter and sugar and knead until smooth. Add the flour and knead again. Form a ball, then spread it on a floured worktop on 1/2 cm thick. Then cut out your biscuits in a circle with a cookie cutter and cook for 15 minutes at 160 ° C.

Meanwhile, prepare the frosting by boiling the water and sugar and allow to simmer for 2 minutes.

Once the biscuits are cooked and cooled, brush with the glaze .  Then , place and press the flowers on the biscuits.
