When I usually think about Christmas, I have a lot of vintage images coming to my mind : warm candles, barley sugars, lovely adorned tables with splendid turkey hens, vintage toys,…
So, when I met Natalia Isachenko, who makes teddy bears just like they used to be 100 years ago, I totally fell in love with her vintage creations! This young Russian woman seeks inspiration in old German savoir-faire, the reference for teddy bears…
All the bears she creates are articulated. The padding essentially comes from wood chips. The skin is made from mohair wool, shaved to give a vintage look. Every model is named and unique.
In short, these bears are really beautiful objects to be collected! Natalia delivers her creations worldwide. They’re stunning presents for Christmas, aren’t they?
The photographed bears here are Anatole (26 cm) and Dima (18 cm). They will be part of our pop-up store, taking place at Sol Y Flor, 46 rue Madame, Paris 6, on december, 6th and 7th. From 11 am to 6 pm.
You also can see Natalia’s creations here.
Have a beautiful Sunday,
