Tech for kids

A few weeks ago, I went to the Educatec exhibition in Paris. I found there many interesting kids’ activities and initiatives, which can help them to understand computers, electricity, digital world …while playing.

Here is a short selection of my favorites: secure search engine, children’s workshops, DIY tech kits to play at home.

Qwant Junior French search engine allows children to safely use the Internet and protect their personal data. This engine is already used by many French schools. Note that teachers can report sites whose access should be denied to minors. Very secure!

Qwant also facilitates our kids’ searches through a selection of documentary sources and reliable images. An indispensable tool for a successful presentation !

This young brand from East London creates fun and educational games that help kids to  understand technology : electric sculptures with playdough, construction of a synthesizer, design of video games. There are games for all ages, from 4 to 12 years.

You can also find tutorials on their website to make your own arrangements without kit (‘Resources’ section)

The first digital academy for kids 7 to 17 years. Lots of activities are proposed in their school every Saturday afternoon and during school holidays. Coding, programming, electrical circuits, création of animated films and Lego construction … A whole range of activities to discover!

At Saint-Germain-en -Laye, just a few minutes from the train RER A, which makes it very accessible to Parisian people. To find here.

Good weekend to all! .. And many thanks to be more and more numerous to come here !!!

See you on Monday for an interview of a very creative mum…
